Travels With K is a weekly publication featuring journals and letters from my great-aunt Katharine's world travels. Auntie K was my grandmother’s sister. She never married, and after she retired from teaching school in Ohio, she taught in international schools in pre-revolution Tehran and in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In addition to letters home from these adventures, I found journals and letters from many other trips and excursions she took to places in the world I can only dream of.
In the spirit of The Journals of Emma Troutman Boylan, which focuses on my great-grandmother’s story, the entries in Travels with K are transcriptions of Katharine’s letters and journals that I have annotated with images, links, and commentary.
